Saludos, from e625!

If you don’t know already, the purpose of ESPECIALIDADES 625 (e625) is to offer the best resources to those who disciple new generations of youth ages 6 to 25 years old.

This year, we took our ministry on the national Liderazgo Generacional and Proyecto Discipulado tour, offering seminars in nine cities. It was a great success, and I’m excited to share a report on what we accomplished with our partnership with DVULI.

We equipped 1,899 pastors and leaders in the following cities:

• Grand Rapids, MI (180)
• Louisville, KY (160)
• Dallas, TX (250)
• San Francisco, CA (150)
• Las Vegas, NV (315)
• Tucson, AZ (173)
• Boston, MA (279)
• Washington, DC (201)
• Philadelphia, PA (191)

A special thanks to the support of the DVULI alumni in the following cities: Obed Escobar (Phoenix 2017) in Tucson, Yicaury Pacheco (Boston 2016) in Boston, Ruben Ortiz (Philadelphia 2012) in Philadelphia, and Rodrigo Ortiz (DVULI staff/liaison) in Grand Rapids.

It was our first time in Louisville, Las Vegas, and San Francisco, where attendees were surprised by the large turnout. Historically, it’s challenging to get Hispanic pastors from different churches together. In Las Vegas, where we had the largest attendance, we were pleased to learn many attendees were familiar with our seminars; however, they were disappointed we had never been to their city before. They were already asking if we would be coming back next year!

Beyond the numbers, we loved hearing that attendees were excited and challenged by the seminar content. We enjoyed learning how this experience gave many attendees hope in improving pastoring the new generations and rejuvenating their churches.

In all cities, many attendees drove for more than an hour to be present! During every DVULI presentation, attendees were very receptive.

If you missed this tour, please join us on the “El Elefante en la Sala” tour in the fall of 2023, which kicks off in Chicago on September 9 and stops in Washington, DC, on November 11 and San Diego on October 14.
