OMG: A Youth Ministry Handbook

Edited by Kenda Creasy Dean

“Does youth ministry matter?” “Do our practices of youth ministry reflect Christ?” “How long can we keep this up”? Interesting questions, aren’t they? Perhaps you’ve asked these questions yourself, but have struggled finding the answer.

These questions and many others like them are answered in the recently released book OMG: A Youth Handbook. Edited by Kenda Creasy Dean, Associate Professor of Youth, Church and Culture and Princeton Theological Seminary, OMG takes a scholarly, yet practical look at the unique challenges youth minister’s face today regarding the spiritual formation of young people. In addition to being well researched and readable, OMG is “written by people who are grappling with these questions along with you.”

As an added plus, in the appendix there are a couple of assessments that you might helpful in evaluating your own youth ministry.
